We Offer 3 levels of Indoor Air Quality Solutions:
LEVEL 1
Simple filtration through a 1 or 2-inch filter used with your furnace or air conditioner is a low-cost, entry-level solution for protecting your equipment. Enhanced filters that are 4-6 inches can provide a higher Merv rating to allow for cleaner air.
LEVEL 2
You can achieve enhanced filtration through the use of an electronic air cleaner or air purifier, which is sometimes known as an air scrubber. These use electricity to capture and disinfect pollutants in the air. It attaches to your HVAC system and reduces odors and dust and eliminates harmful contaminants both in the air and on the surfaces of your home. This solution is simple to add for a moderate investment.
LEVEL 3
A HEPA system can work either as a stand-alone or in combination with one of the solutions listed above. A HEPA rated filter achieves the highest level of particulate removal of any filtration system. It’s easiest and most cost effective to add this advanced filtration at the same time you install a new system.
How Often Should I Change My Air Filter?
Each type of filter will come with its own replacement timeline recommendation. As a rule, 1-2 inch filters should be replaced every 30 days. 4-6 inch filters should be changed every 90-180 days depending on contaminant load, while some high-efficiency filters can be changed annually.
How Often Should I Clean My Ducts?
Ductwork collects dust, dirt, and pollen and over time can become a breeding ground for mold, mildew, and germs that can irritate allergies and create odors. Regular duct cleaning can prevent these pollutants from spreading throughout your home. The frequency of cleaning depends on several factors, including your preference as the homeowner. Some factors that may lead you to consider more frequent cleaning include:
