Humidity Regulation
Installation Requirements Unique to Your Home

Our High-Quality Air Conditioning Units

A gas or electric furnace is the main component of a traditional heating system and may be combined with an air conditioner for a complete heating and cooling system. This combination is referred to as a split system.
A hybrid heating and cooling system is a variation to the traditional split system. It includes an outdoor heat pump that allows the option of electricity-fueled heating and cooling in addition to a gas furnace. It’s an energy-efficient and cost-effective way to heat and cool your home.
Ductless systems can be installed in places where conventional ducted systems cannot go or are an ideal complement to your home’s current ducted system. They can function as an air conditioner for cooling only or as a heat pump for both cooling and heating.

Cooling Systems come in different types which affect the efficiency, comfort level, and noise level of a system.
Single-Stage
A single-stage unit means its operating speed is either on or off.
Two-Stage
A Two-stage unit means it operates on either high or low. The low setting is adequate to meet most household cooling demands about 80% of the time, providing even temperatures. On hotter days, it can leverage the high level of operation to maintain comfort levels. Two-stage systems are typically quieter and more efficient than a single-stage unit.
Multi-Stage
A Multi-stage unit has a range of operation and therefore the most precise temperature control and best comfort. These variable speed units are the quietest and offer the most energy savings.

Help Me Decide

Choosing between an Air Conditioner and a Heat Pump
1
Upfront cost

While an AC might have a lower upfront cost, there may be energy-savings available when heating with a heat pump. When considering cost, it is important to understand the total costs to install a system that can both heat and cool your home properly. Your Home Comfort Alliance Consultant can help determine all of the costs involved.

2
Energy efficiency/cost of operation

Heat pump systems provides energy-efficient heating using electricity, so when the temperature is moderately cold outdoors, they can be less costly to operate compared to systems that use more expensive fuel sources such as natural gas, oil, or propane.  As temperatures drop below freezing, the heat pump requires more energy to maintain comfort inside, reducing efficiency and increasing your electric bill.  This problem is solved by pairing a heat pump with a furnace, thus creating a Hybrid Heat system. However, due to the higher initial cost for the heat pump unit, a hybrid system may be more expensive than a more commonly paired system of an air conditioner and furnace.

The energy efficiency rating for both air conditioners and heat pumps when in cooling mode is expressed as SEER ratings. The efficiency of a heat pump when in heat mode is expressed as HSPF.  The higher the rating for SEER or HSPF, the more efficient the unit.   However, the energy efficiency and cost to operate really comes down to location.  In areas with more moderate temperatures, a heat pump is a better option for efficient heating than in places that have very cold winter temperatures.

3
Life expectancy

While the longevity of an HVAC system is determined by several variables, AC units typically last longer than heat pumps.  Because heat pumps both heat and cool a home, they are used year-round.  Air conditioners get a rest during cooler months when a separate heat source is used to heat the home.  However, even though a heat pump may have a shorter life expectancy, that can be offset by its ability to deliver efficient, money-saving heating during milder winter weather.  The life expectancy of your heat pump or air conditioning system can be maximized and kept running at its maximum energy efficiency by having the expert technicians at Home Comfort Alliance maintain your system regularly.   Comfort Club members never have to think about it!

What our Customers are Saying!

We purchased a New furnace and a/c unit . we had a couple other bids and Home comfort had the best pricing. Our sales person Brandon Roberson was the first person we met with home comfort . he came to our home explained everything to us. he gave us several different options to purchasing the ac and furnace. he was very knowledgeable and helpful through explaining what the different option had comparison to the others. He also explained how the whole process of purchasing , install and permitting would be handled. very helpful. which they applied for all permits for you . which other companies didn't.once the 2 installer came they explained to us what they would be doing and walked through what we would be seeing . they got to work and WOW what a team . they communicated and where talking and helping each other out. It was nice to see a great team. they got our new furnace up and running first day . Mind you that out furnace is in our attic and they had a big task getting the old one out and the new one up there. it was a 2 day process as the ac unit was going to be brand new for our home so had to get all new ducting and wiring. they came out and just started perfectly where they left off and double checked work from the previous day . working perfectly.then they completed and told us of the next step of the next crew to come and finalize the wiring . which 3 electricians showed up with an hour of the 2 installer completing the install work. we helped them out by already having a box from an old Hot tub already back there to attach the new ac to since no longer have the hot tub. so they had a quick install and put in an extra electrical outlet for us next to it. Which is very nice to have. thank you . i think they were in and out with in less then an hour for that.again they electrician even told us of the next steps of the permit approvals going to be happening. All we had to do was contact our local city guy to come out and look and approve. i think even our city guy knows how well of a job this companies does as he said looked really good.i have called to ask a question and the customer service girl I think Hannah?? i can't remember but she helped walk me through and gave me the number to the city so i could get the inspector out. which to my surprise was out next day . If you need a great salesperson to walk you through the process Brandon Roberson was so helpful. he even stopped by the day of install to see how it was going.i highly recommend home comfort Alliance

Our installers, Carlos Sr and Carlos Jr, were incredibly professional, efficient, and knowledgeable. They did an amazing job and got it all done in one day. We love our new heat pump and can't wait to use it for AC in the summer.

We just had our indoor units hydrowashed. We have had the system for over ten years. The difference is amazing! Where we were using 3 and 4 for fan speed before the washing, We are now using 1 and 2 to maintain heated rooms. Glad you have the unit and glad we had it done. I am guessing having it done every few years as necessary as we have a dusty neighborhood.

Geoff and the team at Sullivan did a fantastic job replacing our aging HVAC system. We had a complex system and the team assessed our needs and designed a great solution for our 2 story home. I got 4 bids and the Sullivan bid was by far the best design. The other companies just wanted to replace our system with the same. Design was 100% Execution was 100% Thanks Geoff and team.

Cool guys I dealt with today. They seem laid back and down to earth. I had an interview with them earlier today. Hopefully we can work something out.
