Confirm Your Utility
We identify whether Puget Sound Energy supplies electricity, natural gas, or both at your property, since utility service can affect which rebate pathways may be available.
2026 PSE Incentives
PSE offers several heat pump rebate pathways, but they apply to different types of homes and existing heating systems. The rebates below should not be added together as one advertised “maximum savings” amount.
Up to $2,400 with qualifying PSE Efficiency Boost
Eligible PSE electric customers may qualify when replacing electric resistance heating with a qualifying ducted or ductless air-source heat pump.
Existing systems may include electric furnaces, baseboard heaters, wall heaters, or radiant electric heating. Contractor, equipment, and installation requirements apply.
Up to $2,400 with qualifying PSE Efficiency Boost
Eligible PSE electric customers replacing an out-of-warranty, centrally ducted all-electric heat pump may qualify for PSE’s heat pump upgrade rebate.
Eligibility depends on the existing system and the efficiency, performance, sizing, AHRI certification and installation of the replacement equipment.
The installation must be completed through an eligible PSE Recommended Energy Professional or PSE Trade Ally.
Up to $2,400 with qualifying PSE Efficiency Boost
A hybrid heat pump combines an electric heat pump with a natural gas furnace. The heat pump can provide efficient heating during milder conditions and cooling during summer, while the furnace remains available for colder weather.
Eligible customers must meet PSE requirements related to natural gas service, existing equipment, system controls, equipment pairing, and installation.
Income qualification required
PSE currently offers an income-qualified rebate for certain single-family residential natural gas customers replacing qualifying gas heating with a ducted or ductless air-source heat pump.
The previous natural gas heating equipment must generally be removed or decommissioned. Income, equipment, contractor, and installation requirements also apply.
Understanding Eligibility
Your city alone does not determine PSE rebate eligibility. Some Puget Sound homes receive electricity and natural gas from PSE, while others receive only one service from PSE. The utility serving the equipment being upgraded matters.
PSE may evaluate factors such as:
Choosing high-efficiency equipment does not automatically make a project eligible for every rebate. Confirm the program requirements before selecting the final system. Homeowners who may qualify for enhanced incentives can also review PSE Efficiency Boost.
Understanding which PSE rebate may apply starts with your home, utility service, and existing equipment. Home Comfort Alliance helps you evaluate the project before installation so you can make a more informed decision about equipment, eligibility, and next steps.

Federal tax credit update:Β Current IRS guidance states that the Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit does not apply to property placed in service after December 31, 2025.
