Bremerton does not run its own electrical permit program, so Washington L&I issues and inspects electrical permits in the city (L&I city electrical permits). Some guides say Kitsap County or the city issues them; for electrical work in Bremerton, it's L&I. We pull the required permits for our work.
For panel or service work, PSE disconnects the service so the electrician can work safely. PSE asks for at least 5 business days' notice and charges a fee for the disconnect (PSE Customer Construction Services, 1-888-321-7779). After the work passes inspection, PSE restores power and sets the meter. We schedule PSE's visit with you.
Bremerton has a lot of older housing alongside newer construction. In older homes, small services, panels with no open spaces and outlets without ground wires are common limits when you add a heat pump or an EV charger. We inspect first and tell you what can stay.
A heat pump or Level 2 charger is one of the biggest loads a house carries. Before quoting either, we total up what your panel already serves, check for open breaker spaces and look at the service size. Then we tell you whether the new load fits as is, needs a load-managed circuit, or calls for a larger service with an L&I permit and a PSE disconnect.
Through PSE, a qualifying ENERGY STAR smart Level 2 charger can earn a rebate of up to $300, and income-qualified households can get up to $600 on the charger plus as much as $2,000 toward installation; the application is due within 60 days (PSE EV charger rebate, checked November 4, 2026). The federal 30C credit is gone as of June 30, 2026. In Bremerton we currently offer $200 off an EV charger install and $200 off a panel upgrade. In December 2025 a Bremerton homeowner (98310) needed a new bathroom light fixture and a GFCI outlet, and the light was tied into the same circuit. Our electrician replaced the GFCI, hung the new fixture and reworked how power fed the two so both worked correctly and the outlet kept its ground-fault protection.
An upfront price before any work begins, a $179 visit with 30 minutes of diagnosis included, licensed electricians from our Bremerton branch, and one company for your heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical. Since 1977.
We serve all of Bremerton, east and west of the water (ZIPs 98310, 98311, 98312), from our Bremerton branch. Nearby: electricians in Silverdale, Port Orchard and Poulsbo.
Every visit starts with a $179 dispatch fee that covers 30 minutes of diagnosis. Set prices include $104 to replace an outlet, $171 for a breaker and $495 for a ceiling fan. As a national yardstick, Angi's average to hire an electrician is $351 (August 2026).
