Panels and service upgrades
Adding a heat pump, EV charger, induction range or heat pump water heater can push an older 100-amp panel past what it was built for. We start with a load calculation using your actual appliances. Sometimes the answer is a 200-amp service upgrade; sometimes a subpanel or a load management device lets the existing service handle the new load safely. We also replace panels showing trouble: scorched or corroded parts, breakers that won’t hold, or brands with a history of failures.
A service upgrade needs a planned power shutoff, the L&I electrical permit and inspection, and PSE for the meter and service connection. We coordinate all three so the outage is as short as possible. Details on our panel upgrade page.
EV chargers
A Level 2 home charger on a dedicated 240-volt circuit can refill most electric cars overnight. We size the circuit to the charger, place the unit where the cable reaches the charge port without crossing a walkway, and weatherproof outdoor installs. If the panel is tight, a load-sharing setting or load management device is often cheaper than a service upgrade. See EV charger installation.
Circuits for heat pumps, AC and water heaters
A heat pump or air conditioner needs a dedicated circuit and a disconnect within sight of the outdoor unit, and most heat pump water heaters need a 240-volt circuit. When our HVAC or plumbing team installs equipment, our electricians wire it under the same schedule and permit plan. Generators and outage planning
Winter storms can knock out power across Kitsap County, and homes on wells or with sump pumps feel it fastest. We install standby generators with automatic transfer switches, and generator inlets with interlocks so a portable generator can safely run chosen circuits. Remodels, shops, hot tubs and ADUs
Kitchen and bath remodels need dedicated circuits for appliances, GFCI-protected countertop outlets and properly switched bath fans. Detached shops and garages, common on larger Central Kitsap lots, usually need a subpanel fed by a buried circuit sized for the tools you actually run. A hot tub needs its own GFCI-protected circuit with a disconnect in sight of the tub, and an accessory dwelling unit often needs a subpanel or its own service. We size wire and breakers to the load, plan the trench or route, and file the L&I permit. If the main panel needs an upgrade to make room, it is priced on the same quote so you see the full cost.
Pre-sale, move-in and rental checks

Troubleshooting, outlets and lighting
We trace flickering lights, dead outlets and breakers that keep tripping to their cause, add outlets and GFCI or AFCI protection where needed, replace worn switches and receptacles, and install fixtures, ceiling fans and exterior lighting.
Call right away for a burning smell, heat or scorch marks at an outlet, switch or panel, buzzing from the panel, or water near electrical equipment. If there is smoke, turn off the main breaker if it is safe to reach, call 911, then call us.
