Buckley sits at the foot of the Cascades, and its nights run colder than the valley floor, so a furnace that limps through October often quits in the first hard freeze. We repair gas, electric and oil furnaces in Buckley homes, and you see the price for the repair before we start.

The no-heat calls we see most here: clogged condensate drains on high-efficiency furnaces, worn ignitors and dirty flame sensors, inducer motors and pressure switches, tripped limit switches from blocked filters, and thermostats that lose their settings after a power outage. Our trucks carry the common parts, so many repairs are finished on the first visit, and every gas repair ends with a carbon monoxide check before we leave (carbon monoxide and furnace safety).
Smell gas? Leave the house first. Then call 911 and Puget Sound Energy at 1-888-225-5773. Call us once it is safe. (PSE natural gas safety; what to do if you smell gas).
Our phones are answered and bookings are accepted 24/7. Heating technicians work business hours and go out after hours for qualifying emergencies, such as no heat on a freezing night, with a $330 after-hours dispatch fee instead of the $119. We are closed on holidays. More on after-hours furnace repair.
A furnace tune-up is $230, or $180 for Home Comfort Club members; an oil furnace tune-up is $336, or $288 for members. The technician cleans and checks the burners, ignition, flame sensor, blower, electrical connections, safety controls and filter. A tune-up does not include a carbon monoxide test or a heat exchanger inspection. Check your filter monthly through the heating season (furnace maintenance, Home Comfort Club).
Repair usually makes sense for a younger furnace with one fault. Replacement is worth pricing when the furnace is older, repairs keep coming back, or one repair costs a large share of a new system. Our technician gives you both prices side by side so the call is yours (furnace repair, furnace replacement).
Your price depends on your home's heating and cooling needs, the add-ons you need, how many rooms the system serves and where it's installed. Get a price range in about 30 seconds with our free instant quote tool, then a technician confirms the exact price on a free site visit. We run a room-by-room ACCA Manual J load calculation on every installation, which matters in Buckley's mix of older farmhouses and newer subdivisions, pull the permits, and most furnace installations take between 4 and 10 hours. We are a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer and a Lennox Premier Dealer, and we service all major brands.
New installations come with a 3-year Comfort Shield labor warranty, kept active with yearly maintenance. First-year maintenance is included. Home Comfort Club members with a new system installed by Home Comfort Alliance get extended labor coverage for up to 5 years from installation.
Financing through Salal Credit Union or Synchrony starts at $179/month* (financing).

Puget Sound Energy supplies both electricity and natural gas in Buckley; PSE took over the city's gas system in 2014. PSE did not list a rebate for a new gas furnace when we checked in November 2026. If you keep your gas furnace and add a ducted heat pump, PSE offers a hybrid rebate, and the furnace covers the coldest foothill nights. Details and amounts are on our Buckley heat pump page.
Inside city limits, the City of Buckley Permit Center at 933 Main St handles mechanical permits for furnace replacements (City of Buckley Permit Center). Washington L&I issues electrical permits (L&I electrical permits). Homes outside city limits, including many rural addresses with a Buckley mailing address, go through Pierce County. We pull the required permits for every installation.
In December 2025 a Buckley homeowner called because the gas furnace would not heat the house above 60 degrees. Our technician found the furnace's condensate drain line clogged, which makes a high-efficiency furnace shut itself down, cleared it and had the furnace running normally on the same visit, with no parts needed. He also noticed the inducer motor running noisy from missed maintenance, explained that it may need replacing if the noise gets worse, and talked through a yearly tune-up so the drain gets cleaned every fall.

We repair and replace furnaces across Buckley, including Downtown Buckley and the nearby communities of South Prairie and Carbonado, from our Sumner headquarters at 1524 45th St E, Suite 102. Nearby: Bonney Lake, Sumner and Maple Valley.
