Home Comfort Alliance repairs gas, oil and dual fuel furnaces in Duvall, WA, with an upfront price before any work begins. A furnace repair visit in Duvall starts with a $119 dispatch fee and a $72 standard or $130 deeper diagnostic. You approve the written price first, and because our trucks are fully stocked, most repairs can be handled on the spot.
The heating technicians who cover Duvall work out of our Redmond team, over Novelty Hill. Call (425) 645-0404; our phones are answered and bookings are accepted 24/7.
Gas smell or a carbon monoxide alarm? Get everyone outside, then call 911 or Puget Sound Energy at 1-888-225-5773. PSE supplies both gas and electricity in Duvall (PSE gas leak steps).
If the furnace still will not heat, note anything the control board light is doing and book a visit.
| Part | What goes wrong | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Ignitor | Cracks or weakens with age | Ignitor replacement is $353 to $821. |
| Flame sensor | Coated with residue, so the burners shut off seconds after lighting | Often cleaned rather than replaced. |
| Pressure switch and inducer | Venting or drain problems keep the burners from starting | Common on high-efficiency furnaces. |
| Blower motor or capacitor | Weak airflow, overheating, noise | We measure amp draw before replacing anything. |
| Limit switch | Trips when airflow is restricted | The real fix is the airflow, not just the switch. |
| Control board | Relays fail; error codes or no response | We confirm with meter readings first. |
| Thermostat | Wiring, batteries or a failed unit | Thermostat replacement runs $299 to $1,840. |
Airflow problems are a quiet cause of furnace trouble. A gap in the duct joints near the furnace, a dried-out condensate trap or a filter that is too fine for the system can make a furnace whistle, overheat and short cycle without any broken part at all.
Some Duvall homes on larger lots still heat with oil. We service oil furnaces as well as gas; an oil furnace tune-up is $336, or $288 for Home Comfort Club members. If your furnace works alongside a heat pump in a dual fuel system, we repair both halves and check the hand-off between them. For the heat pump side, see heat pump repair in Duvall.
Parts of the Snoqualmie Valley around Duvall can flood in a wet winter. If your furnace sits in a crawlspace or garage that took on water, do not restart it. Water damages burners, gas controls and wiring in ways you cannot see. Leave it off and book a visit so a technician can check it before it runs again.
Our phones are answered and bookings are accepted 24/7. Heating and cooling technicians work during business hours and are available after hours for qualifying emergencies ($330 after-hours fee), such as no heat in cold weather or a burning or electrical smell. Standard visits run Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with same-day service when possible.
Waiting for a visit? Close doors to rooms you are not using, keep space heaters three feet from anything that can burn, and never use a gas range or an outdoor grill indoors for heat.
Our fees are published and listed separately. You pay the dispatch fee and the diagnostic, then approve the repair price in writing before anything is replaced.

A furnace under about 15 years old with one failed part is usually worth repairing. If it is older, has needed repeated repairs, or has a safety problem such as a cracked heat exchanger, compare a replacement price before paying for a large repair.
PSE has no rebate for a new furnace or a furnace repair. The bigger opportunity in Duvall is switching from gas heat to a heat pump: PSE's Duvall Heat Pump Program offers up to $8,000 to replace natural gas primary heat with a heat pump, for single-family PSE gas or dual fuel customers in specific neighborhoods of 98014 and 98019 (PSE verifies the address). Homes that already have a heat pump, including one used only for cooling, are not eligible, the work must be done by a PSE Trade Ally or REP contractor, and the application is due within 30 days of installation (PSE Duvall program, read October 2026). Our Duvall heat pump program page explains how it works with us.
Replacement estimates are free, and the instant HVAC quote gives a price range in about 30 seconds. Most furnace installations take between 4 and 10 hours. What you get with a replacement: a 3-year Comfort Shield labor warranty on new installations, kept active with yearly maintenance. First-year maintenance is included. See furnace replacement in Duvall or heat pumps in Duvall.
Puget Sound Energy supplies natural gas and electricity in Duvall. A part-only repair needs no permit. Replacing a furnace inside city limits needs a mechanical permit from the City of Duvall Permit Center, 14525 Main Street NE, 425-788-2779 (City of Duvall permitting). Homes with a Duvall address outside city limits go through King County Permitting, 206-296-6600. Electrical permits come from Washington L&I. We pull the required permits for every installation.

In October we went back to a Duvall home where we had recently serviced a two-stage gas furnace, including cleaning its blower wheel. Afterward the homeowner noticed a whistle and asked us to check the airflow, so we returned to make it right and measure everything properly.
The whistle came from a small air gap at the duct transition on the return side of the furnace, which we sealed. The condensate trap had dried out and lost its water seal, so we primed it. Total static pressure read 1.08 to 1.09 inches of water column, high for a home furnace, and a fine MERV 13 filter was part of the reason; the homeowner switched to a MERV 8. The temperature rise checked out at 110F on low stage and 128F on high, and the furnace was running properly when we left.

We work throughout Duvall, in ZIP code 98019 and nearby 98014, including homes on the valley floor and the hills above town. Our Redmond team also serves Redmond, Woodinville, Sammamish and Issaquah.
Repair visits carry a $119 dispatch fee. Diagnosis is $72 standard or $130 for a deeper diagnostic, and after-hours visits for qualifying emergencies carry a $330 after-hours fee. An ignitor replacement runs $353 to $821. You get an upfront price before any work begins. For context, Angi lists Seattle-area furnace repairs at $139 to $544, averaging $341 (August 2026); that is not our price.
Common causes are a dirty flame sensor, a failed ignitor, a tripped limit switch from a clogged filter, or a thermostat fan set to ON. Check the filter and thermostat first; if the air stays cold, book a repair.
Clicking without a flame usually points to the ignitor, the flame sensor, a pressure switch or the gas supply. Do not keep restarting it. A diagnostic finds which part has failed.
A whistle usually means air is being pulled through a gap, often at a duct joint near the furnace, or the furnace is straining against a filter or return that is too restrictive. Sealing the leak and fixing the airflow normally stops it.
Leave the house right away, do not switch lights or appliances on or off, and call PSE at 1-888-225-5773 or 911 from outside. Call us once the gas utility says it is safe.
Same-day service when possible. Our phones are answered and bookings are accepted 24/7. Heating and cooling technicians work during business hours and are available after hours for qualifying emergencies ($330 after-hours fee), such as no heat in cold weather or a burning or electrical smell.
Do not run it. Water can damage the burners, controls and wiring. Keep it off and book a repair visit so a technician can check it before restart.
Yes. We service oil furnaces (oil furnace tune-up $336, $288 for Club members) and repair both the furnace and the heat pump in dual fuel systems. We service all major brands.
No. PSE has no furnace, repair or maintenance rebate. If you replace natural gas heat with a heat pump in an eligible Duvall-area home in 98014 or 98019, PSE's Duvall Heat Pump Program offers up to $8,000; homes with an existing heat pump are not eligible (pse.com, October 2026).
It depends on the furnace's age, the size of the repair and any safety issue. We price the repair first, and if replacement makes more sense we say so. Replacement estimates are free, and our instant quote gives a price range in about 30 seconds. Most furnace installations take between 4 and 10 hours.
Part-only repairs need no permit. Replacing a furnace needs a mechanical permit from the City of Duvall, or from King County for addresses outside city limits, plus an L&I electrical permit where wiring is involved. We pull the required permits for every installation.
Once a year, before the heating season. A furnace tune-up is $230, or $180 for Home Comfort Club members.
