We are a PSE Trade Ally for HVAC, so PSE heat pump rebates go through us and we handle the paperwork, and we are a Mitsubishi Electric Diamond Dealer and a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer. Our NATE-certified technicians run a room-by-room load calculation (ACCA Manual J) on every installation, and we pull the required permits for every installation.

Usually, yes. Most Woodinville houses heat with a gas furnace or electric heat, and a heat pump can replace or work alongside either one while adding cooling for summer. The right setup depends on what heats the house today.
| Option | Best for | Comfort in a cold snap | PSE rebate (October 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
| All-electric heat pump | Homes ready to drop gas heat, or already heating with electricity | Current models heat well below freezing; electric backup covers the coldest hours | $1,500 from electric resistance; $4,000 from gas for income-qualified customers |
| Dual fuel (heat pump plus gas furnace) | Homes with a newer gas furnace worth keeping | The heat pump carries mild weather and the furnace takes over in the cold; PSE notes the furnace typically kicks in below about 35 degrees | $1,500 for PSE gas customers, plus a $2,400 income-based Efficiency Boost |
| New gas furnace only | Homes that want gas heat and no cooling | Strong heat in any weather | None from PSE for gas furnaces |
If your furnace is only a few years old, adding a heat pump for dual fuel is often the better call than replacing it. If it is near the end of its life, compare a full heat pump with a furnace replacement on the same estimate.

A home with ducts in good shape usually gets a ducted heat pump, which uses the existing duct system and one thermostat. Homes without ducts, additions and bonus rooms over the garage usually get ductless heads, one per zone. PSE's ductless rebate rules require an inverter-driven, variable-speed system with at least one head in the main living area, so we design to that. More on ductless systems.
Yes. The City of Woodinville requires a mechanical permit to install, relocate or replace a heat pump or furnace, and electrical permits come from the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries (City of Woodinville, permit FAQ). Many homes with a Woodinville mailing address are actually in unincorporated King County or Snohomish County, where the county issues the mechanical permit instead; the city's My Property Info page shows which applies to your address. We pull the required permits for every installation, whichever office issues them.
Sometimes. Switching from gas heat adds a large electric load, and a heat pump needs its own circuit. The load calculation at the estimate shows whether the panel has room. If not, our electricians do the panel upgrade in the same project under WA Electrical Contractor Lic. #HOMECCA782DC.
Your price depends on your home's heating and cooling needs, the add-ons you need, how many rooms the system serves and where it's installed. Get a price range in about 30 seconds with our free instant quote tool, then a technician confirms the exact price on a free site visit.

All PSE heat pump rebates require a PSE Trade Ally or Recommended Energy Professional; do-it-yourself and out-of-network installs do not qualify, and homes that already have a heat pump serving the main living area are not eligible. Home Comfort Alliance is a PSE Trade Ally for HVAC and handles the rebate paperwork. Energy Smart Eastside rebates are limited to Bellevue, Issaquah, Kirkland, Mercer Island, Redmond and Sammamish, so they do not apply in Woodinville. If the furnace is near the end of its life, an all-electric heat pump removes the gas bill, and income-qualified PSE gas customers can get $4,000.
