Home Comfort Alliance installs ducted, ductless and dual fuel heat pumps in Bremerton homes from our Bremerton branch on Auto Center Way, and has served Puget Sound homes since 1977. Every installation starts with a free in-home estimate and a room-by-room load calculation (ACCA Manual J), and we pull the required permits for every installation.
We are a PSE Trade Ally, so Puget Sound Energy heat pump rebates are available on our installs and we handle the rebate paperwork for you. Licensed, bonded and insured in Washington: WA Contractor Reg. #HOMECCA785BD and WA Electrical Contractor Lic. #HOMECCA782DC, so our own electricians handle the circuit and any panel work.
For most Bremerton homes, yes. Kitsap's mild, damp winters suit air-source heat pumps, which heat and cool from one system. It is worth a look if any of these sound familiar:
Age alone is not a reason to replace. If a repair makes more sense, see heat pump repair in Bremerton first.
| System | Best for | What to know in Bremerton |
|---|---|---|
| Ducted heat pump | Homes with forced-air ducts in good shape | We check duct size, leaks and crawlspace insulation first; damp crawlspaces often need duct repairs. |
| Ductless mini-split | Homes with baseboards or no ducts, additions, single rooms | One indoor head per zone; see ductless installation in Bremerton. |
| Dual fuel (hybrid) | Homes with a gas furnace worth keeping | Bremerton gas comes from Cascade Natural Gas, so PSE's hybrid rebate (for PSE gas customers) does not apply. See dual fuel heat pumps. |
| Cold-climate heat pump | Homes that want full heat output on the coldest nights | Holds more capacity in a cold snap; see cold-climate heat pumps. |
We install Mitsubishi Electric (Diamond Dealer), Carrier (Factory Authorized Dealer), Lennox (Premier Dealer) and Quilt, and we service all major brands.

Bremerton homes get electricity from Puget Sound Energy (PSE) and natural gas from Cascade Natural Gas, so PSE's electric rebates apply but its gas rebates usually do not. Amounts below were checked on pse.com in October 2026.
| Program | Amount | Who it is for |
|---|---|---|
| PSE electric resistance to heat pump | $1,500 | PSE electric customers replacing baseboards, wall heaters or an electric furnace with a qualifying heat pump; installed by a PSE Trade Ally |
| PSE Efficiency Boost | $2,400 | Income-qualified PSE customers, added to the conversion rebate |
| PSE instant (midstream) discount | $300, $400 or $600 by efficiency tier | PSE electric customers buying qualifying heat pump equipment; taken off the contractor's invoice |
| PSE gas to heat pump, and PSE hybrid | Not for most Bremerton homes | Both require PSE natural gas; Bremerton gas customers are on Cascade Natural Gas |
| Federal 25C tax credit | Ended | Not available for equipment placed in service after Dec 31, 2025 |
PSE's conversion rebate cannot be combined with other rebates except where PSE notes, so we check which option pays you the most before you sign. Home Comfort Alliance is also on Cascade Natural Gas's contractor list. Sources: PSE conversion rebate, PSE midstream discounts and PSE gas to heat pump rebate. More: PSE rebates and all rebates.
A new heat pump needs a mechanical permit and, for the new circuit, an electrical permit. We pull the required permits for every installation and book the inspections.
In September 2026 a homeowner in east Bremerton (98310) had us install a Mitsubishi Electric single-zone ductless heat pump: a 15,000 BTU GX Series indoor and outdoor unit.
Our electricians wired the new circuit the same day, and we pulled the permits, including the L&I electrical permit. Because the equipment qualified for PSE's top midstream tier, the $600 instant discount came straight off the invoice, and first-year maintenance is included with the new system.

Our Bremerton branch serves Downtown, Manette, East Bremerton, West Bremerton, Navy Yard City, Charleston, Sheridan Park and Illahee, plus nearby Port Orchard, Silverdale and Poulsbo. See all Bremerton services.
It depends on your home: how many rooms the system serves, whether you have usable ducts, electrical work and where the equipment goes. Our free instant quote tool gives a price range in about 30 seconds, and a free in-home estimate gives you a written, upfront price.
As of October 2026, PSE pays $1,500 for replacing electric resistance heat with a qualifying heat pump, plus a $2,400 Efficiency Boost for income-qualified customers. PSE also offers an instant discount of $300, $400 or $600 on qualifying equipment, taken off the contractor’s invoice. We are a PSE Trade Ally and handle the paperwork.
Usually not. That rebate, and PSE’s hybrid heat pump rebate, require PSE natural gas service. Bremerton homes with gas heat are on Cascade Natural Gas, so they do not qualify. PSE’s electric rebates still apply.
No. The federal 25C credit ended for equipment placed in service after December 31, 2025. Heat pumps installed in 2026 rely on utility programs such as PSE’s.
Yes. Inside city limits the City of Bremerton issues the mechanical permit; homes outside city limits go through Kitsap County. The electrical permit comes from WA L&I. We pull the required permits for every installation.
Yes, when it is sized correctly. Kitsap winters are mild and damp, which suits air-source heat pumps. We run a room-by-room Manual J load calculation and plan backup heat for cold snaps, or suggest a cold-climate model.
Ducted works well when your forced-air ducts are in good shape. Ductless suits homes with baseboards or no ducts, additions and single rooms. Some homes mix both. We check your ducts and electrical panel at the estimate.
Yes. A dual fuel system pairs a heat pump with your furnace. In Bremerton the furnace usually runs on Cascade Natural Gas, so PSE’s hybrid rebate does not apply, but the heat pump still lowers how often the furnace runs.
It can, on waterfront lots. We place the outdoor unit out of direct spray where possible, keep it off the ground and clear of runoff, and we recommend yearly maintenance to keep the coil clean.
We are a Mitsubishi Electric Diamond Dealer, a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer, a Lennox Premier Dealer and a Quilt dealer, and we service all major brands.
