Mill Creek is a planned community built mostly around gas forced-air heat, and in many neighborhoods the furnaces date from the same few building years, so similar parts tend to wear out at about the same time. We repair all major brands and price the repair before any work starts.

Signs your furnace needs repair: it runs but blows cool air, starts and shuts off within seconds, makes new rattling, grinding or banging noises, shows a blinking error code, or the bills climb while the house stays cold. Typical fixes are ignitors and flame sensors, inducer motors and pressure switches, blower motors, control boards and thermostats. Every gas repair ends with a carbon monoxide check before we leave (furnace carbon monoxide safety).
Smell gas? Leave the house right away and don't flip light switches. From outside, call Puget Sound Energy at 1-888-225-5773 or 911. Call us once PSE says it is safe (PSE natural gas safety; what to do if you smell gas).
Our phones are answered and bookings are accepted 24/7. Our Everett heating technicians work business hours and are available after hours for qualifying emergencies, such as a furnace that quits on a cold night in Mill Creek, with a $330 after-hours dispatch fee instead of the $119. We are closed on holidays (after-hours furnace repair).
Furnace tune-ups are $230, or $180 for Home Comfort Club members, and $336 or $288 for oil furnaces. The visit covers burners, ignition, flame sensor, blower, electrical connections, safety controls and the filter. A tune-up does not include a carbon monoxide test or a heat exchanger inspection. Change a 1-inch filter every one to three months through the heating season (furnace maintenance, Home Comfort Club).
If the furnace is fairly young and one part failed, repair it. If it is an original furnace, the same problem keeps coming back, or a big repair would buy only a few more years, get a replacement price as well. Our technician gives you both upfront, in writing (furnace repair, furnace replacement).
Your price depends on your home's heating and cooling needs, the add-ons you need, how many rooms the system serves and where it's installed. Get a price range in about 30 seconds with our free instant quote tool, then a technician confirms the exact price on a free site visit. We size every new furnace with a room-by-room ACCA Manual J load calculation, pull the City of Mill Creek permit, and most furnace installations take between 4 and 10 hours. We are a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer and a Lennox Premier Dealer, and we service all major brands.
New installations come with a 3-year Comfort Shield labor warranty, kept active with yearly maintenance. First-year maintenance is included. Home Comfort Club members with a new system installed by Home Comfort Alliance get extended labor coverage for up to 5 years from installation.
Financing through Salal Credit Union or Synchrony starts at $179/month* (financing).

Snohomish County PUD supplies electricity in Mill Creek and Puget Sound Energy supplies natural gas. Neither listed a gas furnace rebate when we checked in November 2026. Snohomish PUD's heat pump rebates apply to homes heated mainly with electricity, so most gas-heated Mill Creek homes either replace the furnace or add a heat pump to it. Compare the options on our Mill Creek heat pump page.
The City of Mill Creek requires a permit to replace or convert a furnace and for gas piping; apply through the city's OpenGov portal or the Permit Counter at City Hall North, 15720 Main St (City of Mill Creek permits). Washington L&I issues electrical permits. Homes in unincorporated Mill Creek East get permits from Snohomish County. We pull the required permits for every installation.
In early November 2026 a Mill Creek homeowner called about a loud rattle from the gas furnace and an error code on its display. Our technician found the bottom cover panel vibrating, padded both panels with foam tape, and explained that the code was the furnace's normal airflow and heating stage readout, not a fault. Testing showed the inducer motor drawing high amps, and after about 30 minutes in second stage heat it began to grind. He replaced the clogged filter, then gave the homeowner an upfront price for a new inducer motor and pressure switches before any further work.

We work throughout Mill Creek (98012), from Town Center and the Country Club area to North Creek and Mill Creek East, out of our Everett branch. Nearby: Everett, Bothell, heating in Lynnwood and furnace repair in Lake Stevens.
