If water is coming through a ceiling, under a sink or from a water heater, turn off your main water shut-off valve first. That stops the damage while you wait for a plumber.
If the shut-off valve won't turn or won't hold, tell us when you book. Replacing a stuck main valve is a common part of the repair.
Our Redmond plumbers repair and install the plumbing inside your home and the water line that feeds it. Here is what a visit covers:
| Service | What it includes |
|---|---|
| Leaks and pipe repair | Leaking supply lines, pinhole leaks, failed fittings and damaged pipe inside the house. More on leak detection and repair. |
| Water lines | Repair and replacement of the water line on your side of the meter. |
| Repiping | Whole-home repiping for houses with failing or outdated pipe. |
| Water heaters | Repair, flushes and replacement of tank and tankless water heaters. |
| Drains | Kitchen, bath, laundry and floor drains, including main drain lines from an indoor cleanout. See drain cleaning. |
| Fixtures and toilets | Faucets, shut-off valves, garbage disposals and toilet repairs. |
| Hose bibs | Leaking or frozen outdoor faucets, and hose bib replacement. |
| Pressure-reducing valves | Replacing a failed PRV when water pressure runs too high or swings. |
| Appliance gas lines | Residential gas piping for furnaces, water heaters, ranges and generators. |
| Plumbing inspections | A whole-home check of pressure, valves, the water heater, fixtures and visible piping. See plumbing inspections. |
We don't do commercial plumbing, and we don't do sewer line work. For everything we offer, see our plumbing services.

Redmond homes get most of their water from the Tolt River, and the pipe from the meter to your house is yours to maintain. According to the City of Redmond, about 60% of the city's drinking water comes from the Tolt River Watershed through its membership in the Cascade Water Alliance, and the rest comes from city wells. Homes east of the Sammamish River get a blend of the two; homes west of the river and on Novelty Hill get Tolt water only.
The City also says property owners are responsible for maintaining and repairing the service line from the meter to the home. So if the line leaks between the meter box and your house, or your water bill jumps while nothing is running, that repair is on your side. We repair and replace water lines on your side of the meter. Problems at the meter itself, or in the street, go to the City's water utility.
A water heater is usually worth repairing when a single part has failed and the tank is sound, and worth replacing when the tank itself leaks. Our plumbers work on tank and tankless water heaters, gas and electric.
We pull the required permit for a water heater replacement. Considering a heat pump water heater? Puget Sound Energy, Redmond's electric and gas utility, offers $1,000 back on a qualifying heat pump water heater ($1,100 through its income-based Efficiency Boost program; pse.com, October 2026), and as a PSE Trade Ally we handle the rebate paperwork for you. Compare options on our water heaters page.
We clear indoor drains, including main drain lines from an indoor cleanout. We don't do sewer line work. That covers clogged sinks, tubs, showers, toilets, laundry drains and the main drain inside your home.
If sewage backs up in the yard, the line outside is broken, or the sewer line needs repair or replacement, call a sewer contractor. Read more about drain cleaning.
Often, yes. Water heater replacements and new piping usually need a permit, and in Redmond the City issues plumbing and mechanical permits through its Development Services team. Homes outside city limits, in unincorporated King County, get permits from King County instead. That includes many homes in Redmond Ridge, Trilogy, Union Hill and on Novelty Hill; we can tell you which applies to your address.
You don't need to sort this out yourself. We pull the required permits for the work we do and schedule the inspection. Simple repairs, such as replacing a faucet or clearing a drain, generally don't need one.
Redmond has a mix of older houses and newer construction, and they tend to need different plumbing work.
Either way, the plumber explains what they find and gives you a price before starting.
In October 2026 a Redmond homeowner called about two slow-draining sinks and a toilet that whistled for a moment after each flush.
Our plumber cleared both sink drains and replaced the toilet's fill valve, which was causing the whistle. The visit carried our $99 plumbing dispatch fee, and the repair was quoted on site before any work began.
